Zaharias Barber Shop has been operating since 1954, maintaining a long-standing tradition of quality and care. Since 2002, the business has continued under the same name and philosophy — first in Athens and then back in Naxos — offering clients a consistently high-level grooming experience.
Our story begins in 1954…
In Naxos, in 1954, my grandfather opened the first two barbershops under the name Zaharias — one with two chairs and one with three, located by the island’s port. For decades, they served locals and tourists alike with consistency and respect, blending the culture of grooming with the island’s hospitality.
A Journey of Revival and Return
Until 1997, these barbershops were a reference point for grooming in Naxos. Their operation was paused as our family shifted to other tourism-related services, but the love for barbering never faded.
In 2002, I continued the tradition in Athens, and in 2019, I returned to my roots and reopened Zaharias Barber Shop in Naxos. The aesthetic is modern, but the values remain unchanged: respect, cleanliness, efficiency, and consistency.
Today, Zaharias Barber Shop is not just a barbershop. It is the continuation of a 70-year story.
